Production Planner

Location: Merrimack NH
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Pay: $75,000 annual Salary 

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available, production schedules are maintained, and customer delivery requirements are met. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to collaborate across multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory, Production, and Operations to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
  • Analyze production constraints and recommend solutions to improve scheduling efficiency.
  • Review forecasts, customer demand, and production requirements to create accurate planning schedules.
  • Track production performance, schedule adherence, and inventory metrics.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks and proactively communicate solutions.
  • Maintain planning data and ensure accuracy within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning, inventory control, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Assist with other planning and operational projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of production planning or manufacturing planning experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using production scheduling and forecasting tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and capacity planning.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
